“Biggest scientific competition in Sulaymaniyah Governorate”
INPO (Iraq National Projects Olympiad) is a scientific Project Competition among the primary, secondary and high school students in which more than 800 students participates with 409 projects in different fields. It is organized by US Colleges for the 14th consecutive year. INPO (Iraq National Projects Olympiad), is a groundbreaking science competition open to secondary and high school students in Kurdistan Region.
The aim of this Olympiad is to improve the creative ability and scientific thought of students, as well as the thoroughness, skill, and clarity shown in their projects and to help the growing of future scientists.
INPO is open for students in schools teaching in English in Kurdistan Region of Iraq attending classes in grades 3 through 12. This Year INPO was held on March 2019, a total of 409 scientifically prepared projects competed in INPO in the following fields:
- 24 projects in Physics
- 42 projects in Biology
- 19 projects in Chemistry
- 35 projects in Energy
- 22 projects in Mathematics
- 53 projects in Environment
- 35 projects in Computer
- 102 projects in Science
- 82 projects in Design
Finally, In an outstanding awarding Ceremony, Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals were awarded to the successful students.
